Sean Pollock is a pianist, educator, conductor, and vocal coach with more than 30 years of private teaching experience. He holds a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from Arkansas State University and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from the University of Memphis, where his studies included vocal, piano, and organ performance. He also pursued doctoral study in Collaborative Piano and Vocal Coaching at the University of Memphis.
His career bridges the private studio, university classroom, concert stage, opera pit, and musical theatre. A former adjunct professor at Arkansas State University, Sean has worked extensively as a collaborative pianist and vocal coach for student recitals, juries, auditions, competitions, and degree programs. His performance credits include Carnegie Hall, the Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center, Mississippi Opera, and concerts in the United States and abroad.
Sean’s students have earned honors through Music Teachers National Association events and advanced through state, regional, and national National Association of Teachers of Singing auditions. At Pollock Piano, that depth of professional experience becomes clear, encouraging instruction in reading, theory, ear training, technique, interpretation, and independent musicianship—always shaped around the student’s age, interests, and goals.

A studio policy built for consistency.
Progress grows from regular lessons and regular practice. A weekly time is reserved for each private student; monthly payment secures that time. Cash, check, and Venmo are accepted.
- At least 24 hours’ notice is required for makeup consideration.
- Late cancellations and missed lessons are charged in full.
- Teacher cancellations are rescheduled or credited.
- Thirty days’ written notice is required to discontinue lessons.

Do you teach beginners?
Yes. New students of every age are welcome, including complete beginners, returning players, and musicians who want to strengthen reading, theory, or ear training.
Do I need a piano at home?
Consistent practice requires regular access to an acoustic piano or a full-size digital piano with weighted keys. I can help you evaluate an instrument before lessons begin.
Is there an additional travel fee for in-home lessons?
There is no additional travel fee within The Villages area; travel time is already included in the in-home lesson rate. Lessons outside The Villages may include an additional fee based on distance, agreed upon before scheduling.
What happens if I need to miss a lesson?
With at least 24 hours’ notice, one student makeup per month may be offered when space is available. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged in full.
